Arsenal will not have forward Olivier Giroud available to face Burnley this weekend as the Frenchman has yet to recover from a knock that has affected him for the past two weeks.
However, manager Arsene Wenger had good news on the injury front with the knee injury to Francis Coquelin not as bad as expected, with the midfielder possibly set for a return as soon as after the upcoming international break.
Said Wenger in his pre-match press conference on Friday: ”Olivier will not come back and Francis is looking better than expected, but he will still be short for Sunday.”
Meanwhile, Aaron Ramsey remains out with a hamstring injury that has affected him since the opening weekend against Liverpool.
